Entreprises

  • Solvay - R&D Engineer

Paris 2013 - 2013 Engineer in the Functional Nano Materials group, in charge of a scouting project dealing with the “improvement of polymer barrier properties by adding metal oxides nanoparticles”.

Bibliographic studies, realization of experiments and analysis: dispersion of nanoparticles and characterization (DLS), different mixing routes with the matrix, extrusion, injection, compression molding, electronic microscopy, and thermal analysis. Surfactant syntheses for nanoparticles.
Interaction with different services (technical, analyse…) and analyze of results in order to select the further steps.
  • NRC (National Research Council of Canada) - R&D Engineer

2012 - 2012 Working on a new biocomposite formulation, forming and characterization. Bibliographic study on vegetal fiber based biocomposites.
My main role was to made samples and characterized composites with additives. And then realize large quantity in line extruder.( extrusion, extrusion foaming and compression molding).
Characterization on biocomposite include thermal and mechanical tests (DSC, TGA, IZOD).
Great interaction with the production team for the forming part.
  • CNRS - Laboratory technician

Paris 2008 - 2008 Work in the LRS (Laboratory of Surface Reactivity) unit under the direction of Dr A.Davidson on the "Synthesis and characterization of mesoporous silica".

My main role was to Scale-up a supramolecular template SOL-GEL process from laboratory (250mL) to medium (5L) scale. Interaction with different units in order to proceed analyses (SEM, TEM, XRD, nitrogen adsorption/desorption) and results analyze.
Good mesoporous silica was obtained after 12 trials, so the project continues on the Cobalt Oxide incorporation in the pores.
