  • AGCS - Technical Business Analyst

    2016 - 2017 Full Data migration of a legacy system to Xuber Genius system. Responsible for requirement gathering, mapping, testing of underwriting & claims. And limited development.

    Supported by strong technical skills on the IBM iSeries (AS400, System i).

  • AGCS - Technical Solutions Architect

    2016 - 2017 Technical business analyst responsible for migrating a legacy aviation insurance system to the xuber Genius commercial insurance platform for AGCS. Genius runs on the IBM iSeres (AS400 System i) server.
  • ACE Europe - Senior Genius Technical business analyst

    2013 - 2016 Duties include requirements gathering, development, testing, product and general Genius configuration and maintenance.
    Responsible for the migration of an Italian legacy withholding tax payment system to the Genius European model. Oliver specified the names, tax and bank account details for migration. Oliver also specified the Xuber enhancements to Genius, revisions to operational procedures, designed and coded new tax legislative extracts. Performed end to end testing and reconciliation. Project successfully delivered in Jan 2014.
  • HCC - ISeries Support Team lead

    2009 - 2013 Oliver's responsibilities included the management and workload of the iSeries team (IRIS & Genius applications and interfaces). Duties involved user requirements gathering and documentation. Development of small enhancements and new products. Ensuring the smooth running of the systems and their interfaces. Root cause problem analysis. This was a `hands on' role as all development was done in house. Oliver was responsible for running IRIS and Genius month ends.
  • AGCS Global Genus - Technical Team Lead

    2008 - 2009 conversion project as the Technical Team Lead. During the early stages of the project the team was still ramping up so Oliver's roles were flexible from Global conversion lead to running mapping workshops to migration analyst to developer to tester.
    During Oliver's time at AGCS the team built a global generic migration front end to streamline the migration process. Oliver was part of the team the successfully migrated the legacy G2 UK system and Swiss legacy system to Global Genius.
  • Legal & General - I/90 Team Lead

    Paris 2001 - 2008 Oliver's primarily role was managing the workload and schedules for team of 10 local developers who were both developing and supporting GI's INSURE/90 systems.

    Oliver managed and generally worked directly on all of our work packages from requirements clarification, providing solutions, estimation, scheduling and tracking. This typically involved 40 development projects of various sizes at various stages in the pipe line. Oliver was directly involved in many products including being responsible for the design and migration strategy for the Birmingham Midshires take on.
  • CSC - Senior Analyst Programmer

    MONTAUBAN 1994 - 2001 CSC UK (formally Creative, then PMSC then Mynd) -
    Oliver's print responsibilities concentrated mainly on customising clients copies of INSURE/90 - generally on site.

    Oliver's roles were generally Technical - Senior Analyst Programmer, Technical Consultant (and Project Management).

    The most challenging time with CSC was working in the South African office for 2 years This work involved developing and implementing a generic AS400 PC Client fulfilment print interface for I90 and DAP. Also providing hands on cross training & mentoring local employees.

    Oliver also worked on the next generation of the INSURE/90 product which was then called Global I+. This was a RPGIV ILE development via Aldon's ACMS change management system and presented via Seagull's J-Walk GUI.
  • Mattel - RPG Analyst Programmer

    Fresnes 1989 - 1994 Working at Fisher Prices European headquarters on their bespoke sales order processing and accounts system.

    Analyst Programmer.

    In this combined business and technical role Oliver worked within a small team of 5. Oliver's most rewarding project there was co-developing their accounts receivable system and then implementing it at each of their European satellite offices.
  • Zanussi - Trainee Programmer

    1988 - 1989 Oliver's move into RPG programming . Working in Newbury on their bespoke sales order processing systems.
  • Chase Manhattan Bank - AS400 Operater

    1987 - 1988 The start of Oliver's professional in IT - working in the City as a Trainee Operator.

    Worked shifts providing 24 hour cover for Mydas running on System/38. Duties included initial user problem determination, and report distribution.
