    In charge of the Research on S-PVC for LVM
    Technical support to LVM plants: The department is at the interface of Beek (NL), Mazingarbe(F) S-PVC Plants and Tessenderlo(B) VCM manufacturing facility. Formal and informal meetings are making this collaboration alive (Technical Meetings Beek, Mazingarbe, Tessenderlo and Product Quality Meetings with Transformation Researchers). Member of the Direction Comity of LVM Group and SAV .
    Technical approval of new suppliers of additives and technology: Looking for and evaluation of the most effective suppliers for the plants regards to Safety, Environment, Quality and Costs
    Pilot Plant Applied Research: Continuous improvement of Safety, Environment, Quality and Cost with 800 experiments per year. This Research allowed to elaborate the upgrading of the PVC plant of Mazingarbe towards the up today technology (CRT, 4 years project)
    Know-how development: In collaboration Mulhouse, Paris, Toulouse and Lens Universities fundamental Research is managed via thesis (PhD) or post-doc focussing on polymerisation, pre-stabilisation of S-PVC as well as the development of know how on critical parts of the S-PVC process
    Knowledge-centre for SPC, modelling and design of experiments for Tessenderlo Group: Lectures, consulting and co-ordination meetings organized so that everybody can take profit of the experience available inside the Group
    Research for other companies: Using the techniques and know-how of the department to collaborate and make Research for outside companies via contracts

    In a Quality, Safety and Environment certified system, in charge of the LVM Suspension PVC Technical Centre (R&D and Mazingarbe Plant Quality)
    In addition to Synthesis Research activities, optimisation of the plant analysis as a function of plant capabilities, development of in line measurements and responsible for the plant tuning and Product Quality performances
