    Vice President Controlling and Operations (2006 – June 2007)

    Reporting to the CEO, Secretary to the Board of Directors and member of the Executive Board, in charge of global supply chain, logistics, market intelligence and controlling with direct responsibility for a team of 30 employees. Member of the Amer Sports Group IT Committee.
    • Defined a new set-up for the global supply chain with a mid-term target to cut inventories by €50M. Achieved one third of this target at the end of the year with inventory turns improved by 8%. Finalized action plan to be handed over for further implementation.
    • Created a central Market Intelligence Team to monitor markets, competitors and market shares for all Salomon activities.
    • Solved a major delivery crisis with third party warehouse, thus ensuring timely delivery of products and eliminating potential negative impact on sales.

    Chief Financial Officer (1998 - 2005)
    Reporting to the CEO, member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, in charge of controlling, accounting, consolidation, treasury, tax, transfer pricing, general affairs and relations with the shareholder Adidas-Salomon with direct responsibility for 60 employees. Member of the Salomon IT Committee.
    • Introduced a true financial culture within the company through extensive communication towards the executives, management, employees and trade unions.
    • Completely redefined and implemented the company’s financial reporting systems, formats and processes to match the IFRS and Adidas-Salomon specific requirements and to provide top management with clear vision on situations, trends and stakes. Established a tax-resistant financial and transfer pricing new set-up. Implemented the related inter-company agreements.
    • Set the framework and actively contributed to several major restructuring and turnaround programs in France and abroad, including important outsourcing actions. Obtained a reduction of the Salomon Brand operating expenses in excess of €40mio from 2000 to 2005.
    • Negotiated several acquisitions and led the integration of the newly acquired companies, like the leading outdoor brand Arc’teryx (Vancouver, Canada) in 2001. Since its acquisition, Arc’teryx’ sales more than doubled to €40mio in 2005 with a double-digit EBIT ratio.
    • Participated in strategic development moves such as the set-up of a partnership with Fischer, a leading provider of skiing equipment. As a result, combined with positive market conditions, Salomon’s sales in cross-country grew by 40% from 2004 to 2006 with an excellent profitability.
    • Directed Finance team in hedging foreign exchange risks within the framework of the Group policies to reach exchange rates gains of €40mio between 2000 and 2006.
    • Contributed actively to the Salomon acquisition by Amer Sports by providing in depth knowledge of the entity as well as original valuation methods. Led the due diligence process within Salomon and participated in the carve-out process including de-listing of an entity from the OTC market in Tokyo, transfers of assets and participations, organization of the flows of dividends.
