    > Management, maintenance and evolution of two OPX2/Planisware applications, with focus on the quality of deliverables
    > Support and accomplish the ongoing migration of the current OPX2 R4 version to P5 for one application throughout the development, testing and validation, and implementation phases

    • OPX2 Developer at Sanofi Pasteur – March 2008 – July 2009
    > Development of reports for: planning, resources, costs, indicators, user-friendly interfaces for Clinical R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance departments
    > Development of a Data Dictionary integrated with the OPX2 R4 software:
    o Implementation of a tool which is used to identify, define and classify fields in OPX2, in order to give a functional description to the data used
    o Definition of processes to control change in the data dictionary

    > System administration and monitoring, and test planning in the context of OPX2 R4 migration

    MARCY-L'ETOILE 2006 - 2006 Project support working on large R&D projects in a Matrix Organisation. My activities at POM were to assist and collaborate with the Project Management Expert and project teams:

    > Animation and participation in project tracking meetings and project risk analysis meetings

    > Support Department Managers in the budget preparation process

    > Elaboration of a global project risk indicator and improvement of the risk analysis tool

    2005 - 2005 > Provided advisory services in bioinformatics to implement strategies for the study of the mosaic structure of rice Oryza sativa genome.

    > Analysed user requirements, conducted technological survey and software modelling (UML).

    > Developed and implemented a program called “Restriction Search Tool”, in Perl/BioPerl, which performs in silico Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) and facilitates comparison to in vitro RFLP data.

    > Adapted successfully the cDNA- AFLP method in the study of differential gene expression in O.ramosa.

    > Isolated and characterised two fragments (genes) expressed in response to GR24.

    2001 - 2002 Research Project : Studies on the depuration of microbial contaminants from the freshwater lobster Cherax quadricarinatus grown in a waste-fed integrated aquaculture system

    > Assessed the utilisation of sterilised water to purge contaminated crayfish from Integrated Farming System (IFS), in order to render them acceptable to the market.

    > Investigated on the microbiological quality and prevalence of pathogenic bacteria in crayfish grown in IFS.

    > Investigated on the effect of chlorine dose on depuration rate of contaminated crayfish.
  • Ministry of Agriculture - Mauritius - Trainee

    2001 - 2001 NATIONAL PARKS AND CONSERVATION SERVICE

    > Assisted in the setting up and management of databases on the Flora and Fauna of Mauritius and the designing of a brochure on Native Ferns of Mauritius.
    > Carried out seed collection, plant propagation and reintroduction in the wild, data collection and record keeping.
    > Attended the Biodiversity Assessment Workshop sponsored by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
