2014 - maintenantHiFiBiO is specialized in the ultra-high throughput, single-cell and function-based screening of antibody secreting cells using droplet-based microfluidics and next generation sequencing (NGS) for drug discovery. Thanks to single-cell barcoding, full antibody sequences from the sorted B-cells are generated, simplifying and speeding up the process of drug discovery.
HiFiBiO also focuses on the epigenetic cartography at the single-cell level using ChIP-Seq in droplets.
I am specifically involved in the screening of antigen-specific antibody secreting lymphocytes, including bioassay development for different targets and animal species and adapted to droplets, cell isolation and preparation, droplets production and sorting of droplets containing antigen-specific antibody secreting cells.
I am also involved in the quality control of the different critical steps of the process as well as the constant research and development needed to increase productivity and robustness of the process.

2013 - 2014Thanks to multiple collaborations with multinational companies and laboratories, the panel of research fields on which the LBC is focused is very broad. From drug discovery to diagnostic or research on origin of life, all projects chose a state-of-the-art technology: droplet-based microfluidics, which enables ultra-high throughput analysis of millions of droplets, all working as an isolated bioreactor and thus allowing single-cell analysis.
The project I was focused on was the high-throughput screening of antibody-secreting cells. I participated to the development and validation of the reagent enabling the detection of antibody secretion in droplets and to the development of RT in droplets.
This field being very interesting scientifically and having great potential, the start-up HiFiBiO, founded in august 2013, became specialized in ultra-high throughput screening of therapeutic antibodies using droplet-based microfluidics and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
