Packaging Engineer Manager EMEA – Godiva Chocolatier (2015 to present)

Manage a department of 3 in charge of delivering cost effective, quality compliant products to support existing and new product portfolio.
I establish the Strategic Planning and Direction on the development of all EMEA packaging programs to support Creative, Sales and Marketing Plan objectives. Additionally, I am responsible for directing, managing and supervising a Packaging Engineer team of 3 and linking with Packaging engineers in other regions to support the deliveries of 2MM units per year. I also plan and manage the Packaging Engineering budgetary goals and objectives. Additionally we advise the technical standard for delivering quality-packaging components.
Management role:
• Creation of my position in Godiva Brussels. Define Role, responsibilities and area of expertise.
• Manage all projects alone for 2 months when our PE left. Recruitment of new PE.
• Creation and recruitment of a new PE junior job in the team for sept17.
• Creation of a rolling scheme of 2 interns all year long.
• Creation of “Packaging Innovation days” with 1st session end of 2017.
• Creation of the Packaging innovation Newsletter

Project Management:
• Develop and Launch of all Core and seasonal products: 12 seasonal collections + 3 major revamp of Core range by managing development and implementation.
• Saved 100k€ in our factory by finalising the replacement of our biggest bulk plastic tray reference, decrease of breakage and double sourcing with a new cheaper supplier (additional 80k€ savings).
• Saved 50k with development and validation of a new tray supplier for prepacks.
• Launched of a new global product range: Super Premium tablets “G” by Godiva with industrialisation and prepack development.
• Manage packaging standards at co-packer and co-maker for specific collection by defining specification and quality standards.
• Achieved compliance of our plastic bags according to French regulation with new testing process.
• In progress: saving of 30K with replacement of Carre wrapper papers for Cores and Seasonal.

    • Mentor and direct a contractor that had organized our specifications by measuring progression and guide her for her 1st Packaging project and of our Packaging newsletter.
    • Organize Packaging validations with more than 15 teams worldwide by creating and sharing protocols.

    Honors:
    2015: Pepsi Lipton “Innovation of the Year 2014” award for Sirena bottle that delivered an average incremental market share gain of 2.5% and “Brand appeal” growth of 8.4 points.
    2015: PepsiCo Global Packaging awards for “Most Significant Impact to Business” for Sirena launch
    2014: Gold Pentawards for the launch in Europe of the new LIT bottle, repositioning the brand in its market.

    Previously and during 2 years I have been working as a Packaging Manager in the south of France for a small company making tea bags and called PAGES.
