I have a passion for music for decades and doctor, but not musician, I dedicated my life to study its reproduction by all kind of audio systems and its propagation in air throught the science of acoustics.

Hands on engineering manager with strong experience supporting multiple departments I am committed to deliver new innovative audio products in an environment focused on the best practice, outstanding design and quality in order to exceed customer expectation. Self-motivated, I am a professional with strong problem solving skills and excellent communication skills who enjoys working within cross-functional teams.

Among my specialties are supplier development and implementation of new processes, subjective analysis of loudspeakers systems and product analysis, product and project management.

    2018 - 2019 Over the years, MUSIC Tribe has become one of the world’s largest company for pro audio and high-tech music products, including brands such as Behringer, Midas, Klark Teknik, Turbosound, Tannoy, TC Helicon, Lab Gruppen…

    As head of acoustics in the China base site, I was a key interface between the loudspeaker brands and the R&D team for product definition, development, evaluation and validation.
    I was highly involved in providing technical guidance and supporting various departments such as:
    • Production engineering and manufacturing for improving processes, assembly jigs and record of best practice
    • Quality department for improving quality control.
    • Procurement for introducing new suppliers.
    • Transfer of cone paper manufacturing in-house.

    Under my dynamic leadership, my team started to follow streamlined workflow and use upgraded best practice guidelines in order to fit in the new systems being implemented across the whole company.
    I prepared the team roadmap and applied for new software/equipment for the team to fulfill its goal of designing state of the art transdcucers and speaker systems, right first time, on target, on time and at the right cost.

    2010 - 2015 Hosiden Besson Ltd is one of the world's leading ODM and OEM companies; it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hosiden Corporation, a major Japanese component company supplying the global communications markets.

    Hosiden Besson design and manufacture electronic, acoustic, mechanical and OEM products for major companies around the globe in different markets such as Cell Phone industry, Automotive industry, Audio industry and further more the Military sector with communication devices.

    As a senior acoustics engineer, I am in charge of designing and developping acoustics products, mainly focused on microphones and headphones especially in-ear earphones.
    I am currently acting as the Technical Design Advisor for all projects which include transducers.

    • Design and development of microphones and headsets, with or without Active Noise Canceling system (ANC).
    • Prototyping and validation of microphones and headsets design.
    • Produce Technical documentation and reports as well as test specifications and procedures.
    • Experienced with Far East vendors/manufacturing.
    • Provide technical support and guidance for the resolution of various interdepartmental issues.
    • Design and realisation of a reverberant box for passive attenuation and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) measurements on headsets according to ANSI/ASA standard.

  • Zhongshan Eurotec Electronics, The Music Group - Assistant Manager

    2009 - 2009 I have been in charge of setting up the Evaluation Team in charge of the eveluation of loudspeaker systems at all stage of the development.
    Below are some of the key functions I fulfilled:

    • Defined and started to set up this new team (Organization, workflows, handbook, recruitment, definition and implementation of measurements methods and standards).
    • Evaluated loudspeaker systems at all stages of development (including vented loudspeaker systems alignment, crossover).
    • Defined design modifications for improving loudspeaker system when necessary.
    • Approved loudspeakers systems’ design.
    • Defined and implement quality control test procedures for systems on production.
    • Provided technical support and guidance for the resolution of various interdepartmental issues.

    I have tuned loudspeaker systems (speakers and amplifier) such as B1030A (available), B1031A, B1800D-PRO (*), B1500D-PRO (*), still under development at that time.

    2008 - 2008 Started in Behringer company as senior Acoustic engineer in the speaker team.
    The speaker team is in charge of the design of all speakers for Behringer (Loudspeaker systems, piano, guitar amplifiers).
    I was invloved in the design of speakers for B212A, B215A models.

    2008 - 2009 After my probation period I have taken the lead of the speaker team as assistant manager.
    I left the design side for the approval one and went on defining, organising more deeply the work of the team in relation with other departments as well as the implementation of test standards.

    Le Mans 2002 - 2006 : Researcher on acoustic sensors with ionised gas, PhD thesis in the
    Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Maine,
    * Manage research study on acoustic sensors with ionised gas. ;

    * Implement and automate test processes with B&K system. ;

    2002 - 2002 Theoretical and experimental studies on electrostatic loudspeakers.

    • Optimized geometrical parameters of planar electroacoustic transducer with electric field.
    • Validation of the results by measurements using MLSSA system.
    • Accomplished theoretical study of tweeter push pull with a hyperbolic divergent waveguide.
  • APG France - Assitant Engineer

    Le Thillay 2000 - 2001 • Designed, developed and performed measurement bench for the quality control of loudspeakers. Developed and implemented quality control measurement processes with CLIO software. Programmed the measurements. Tested processes and edited instruction manual.
    • Contributed to the development of spatial measurement bench for loudspeakers in an anechoic chamber. Developed, implemented and programmed the spatial measurements with SoundLab software. Prepared database and its exportation for the use in three dimensional simulations for room acoustics using EASE software.
