William Maudez is a experimented chemist in inorganic/material chemistry.
He received his master's in Chemistry from the University of Rennes1/INSA, France, in 2002. He moved to Switzerland, where he completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Basel. During his PhD studies, he was introduced to the chemistry of the heavier alkaline earth and lanthanide for oxide material applications. As part of his education, following his PhD, Dr. Maudez did a first one year Post-doc training at the IRCELYON in 2007, and later, in 2008, a two year Post-doc at the University of Syracuse, NY, USA. In 2011, Dr. Maudez joined the Chemistry group at the LSPM, and worked for 20 months on platinum precursors for Pt thin film applications in PEMFC.

Currently, he is R&D Engineer at 3D-Oxides. His work is focusing on CBVD technology (Chemical Beam Vapor Deposition) with a particular interest in precursors.
