    Toulouse 2015 - 2017 This research project deals with the controls of a flapping wing model.The goal is to use the Parallel mechanism to mimic the wing movement of a medium sized bird like pigeon for forward flight.

  • MVJ College of Engineering - Research Project

    2014 - 2014 This project dealt with the mechanical aspects of a flapping wing mechanism.

    Various flapping actuation mechanisms were studied and the best mechanism for our purpose was selected. The gear mechanism, main frame and wings were designed and modeled using CATIA V5R20.

    The Flapping motion of the Ornithopter was simulated using CATIA 'DMU Kinematics' workbench for better understanding of the working of the model.

    The aerodynamic analysis was carried out using ANSYS ICEM-CFD and ANSYS FLUENT to optimise Up Stroke and Down Stroke angles to produce the Maximum lift.

    Built the ornithopter model using the proposed cheap and lightweight materials. Also successfully built the proposed tail wing mechanism.

    This project helped in understanding basics of a flapping wing flight and improved design skills.

    The project was published in "The Air Era" magazine by Bangalore Aeronautical Students Association-May 2014 edition.

    2011 - 2014 Under the guidance of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India,National Service Scheme-popularly known as NSS was launched in 1969. Currently NSS has more than 3.2 million student volunteers on its roll spread over 298 Universities and 42 Senior Secondary Councils and Directorate of Vocational Education all over the country. The primary goal of NSS is to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias.
