    2008 - 2010 • Assisted the Rights Manager in the following tasks:
    Completing tax forms and sending out to publishers, reversion chasing and processing, sending out foreign editions to authors (following up publication date with publishers where necessary), sourcing and supplying artwork files, updating the rights database with submission reports and rejections, preparing presentation material for book fairs, assisting at book fairs (on reception and responsible for own meetings), helping with follow-up (logging notes and helping out with mailings).

    • Provided administrative support to the Publisher and Children’s department, such as:
    Organising material for publishing meetings, drafting acquisition P&Ls, updating AIs, collating sales material for Key Accounts, updating sales figures, compiling charts and providing data analysis, helping out with French-English translation for contracts and general correspondence with Hachette France, distributing authors/illustrators/agents’ copies and maintaining office stock, dealing with general queries addressed to the Children’s department (internal and external).
  • W & G Foyle Ltd – Foyles Charing Cross Road - Product Administration Assistant

    2007 - 2008 Worked effectively to manage the stock and monitor store administration processes for all of Foyles branches, as well as being specifically in charge of the returns processing of Foyles at Selfridges Manchester. As part of the Head Office team, supervised all ordering processes including teleordering, organised stock-transfers, administered and communicated weekly and monthly reports, updated budget and returns figures, supervised stocktakes, liaised with staff, sales representatives, distributors and suppliers.

    2006 - 2006 Assisted the Foreign Rights team dedicated to Mitchell Beazley, Conran & Cassel Publishing
    in the following tasks: input and maintained the rights sold database, helped transferring data from one database to another (Bright Eye and Bradbury Phillips), using Xpress, printed sales material to be distributed to foreign publishers, sent finished copies and advance material to authors and foreign customers, filed correspondence and contracts.

    2006 - 2007 Assisted the staff during the festive season: welcomed and served customers, placed orders through wholesalers/suppliers, shelved books. Ensured returns were despatched in a timely manner with all correct paperwork: identified goods to be returned and obtained the relevant authorisations, checked, packed and sent authorised goods back to the relevant suppliers. Worked closely with the Head Office team to hit returns monthly targets.

    PAU 2004 - 2005 Worked across different lists, including Business, Computing and Practical books: wrote blurbs, advance information sheets and promotional leaflets, e-mailed cover visuals and sales material to representatives, proof-read covers, updated the company website with forthcoming publications.
